Sampson Mordan combination barrel scent bottle

Sampson Mordan barrel combination scent bottle with a vinaigrette one end and snuff /pill box on the other. Made of solid sterling silver. Fully hallmarked with London date mark 1872. Maker’s mark for Sampson Mordan to both ends of the barrel, on the rim of the pill/snuff box, inside the pill/snuff box lid and the underside of the vinaigrette grill. The vinaigrette and pill/snuff box are gilded internally. The vinaigrette grill is in perfect condition and closes firmly. An added attraction is the manner the barrel is attached to the scent bottle cap by rings and a chain. He Silver weight is 58gms.
